an intro to William Thomas, by Supima

I AM WILLIAM THOMAS

A new brand founded to raise awareness for mental illness and suicide prevention hopes to not only make customers look good, but do good as well. Launched in September as part of National Suicide Awareness Month, William Thomas is named for the founder’s father, who tragically took his own life 8 years ago after losing a battle to PTSD. With a mission to destigmatize mental illness, William Thomas hopes to help people overcome life’s mental obstacles while making a statement with their clothes.

The American boutique designer brand features handcrafted items that are cut and sewn in New York and Los Angeles. William Thomas utilizes 100% Supima cotton for the superior quality fabric and comfort level for its customers. The extra-long staple fiber gives Supima the higher quality it is known for, making fabrics softer and stronger than regular cotton. The fabric retains color and resists pilling over time, a key factor when maintaining a wardrobe of staples like these that you’ll want to wear over and over again.

Launching with 12 different styles, the Brand’s first offering will be a range of t-shirts and hats, with plans to eventually expand to other classifications such as hoodies and sweatshirts. The t-shirts retail at $67, and all are designed around a monochromatic color palate. In order to further its mission, a portion of proceeds will go to helping those who can’t afford it pay for therapy.
